
Procedures for Obtaining Firearms Applications
A. An individual must first go the Probate Court (3rd floor Courthouse) to obtain an application. There is a $15.00 charge for the application.
B. The individual must purchase a $24.00 money order made payable to G.C.I.C. (GA Crime Information Center).
C. Once the individual has obtained the application and money order, he/she will come to the Sheriff's Office to be fingerprinted. There will be a $10.00 fee for this service.
D. After the prints have been taken, the application is submitted to the Glynn County Sheriff's Office Dispatch for the Criminal History to be generated.
E. Once the history has been generated, we indicate whether or not the individual has a record, sign and return the application to Probate Court.

Reciprocal Agreements - Attorney General Thurbert Baker announces that North Carolina and Colorado have been added to Georgia's program of reciprocal recognition to firearms permit holders from other states. With this revision, Georgia now reciprocates in recognizing firearms licenses with the following states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
